Steam Playtests (steamplaytests.com) lists Steam playtests. You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or Steam login.

What your browser stores

To mark playtests that are new since your last visit, your browser keeps the time of that visit in its local storage. It stays on your device. The site sends that time to our server only to count how many playtests are new, and the server doesn't store it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Playtests you save or mark as signed up are kept the same way, in your browser only.

What our server records

Like most websites, our hosting provider logs basic request details, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to run and protect the service. We don't use these logs to identify you or sell them.

We count clicks on each playtest's Join or Request button, per day. The count doesn't record who clicked. To avoid counting the same person twice, the server briefly keeps a scrambled form of the visitor's IP address in memory and forgets it by the next day.

Alerts

If you turn on alerts, your browser gives us a push address at its own notification service (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), and we store it with the tags you picked. That's all we keep. Turning alerts off deletes it, and we also delete it if your browser's service says it's no longer valid.

Links to Steam

Signup buttons take you to Steam's store, which has its own privacy policy. Game images load from Steam's servers.
